Re: Apprenticeships and other for profit training academies
Kelly,
Sorry this response is so late, but hopefully this helps. To get scholarship payments out for students who were attending for-profit training facilities, we partnered with a local non-profit that works with individuals in the career training space. In my case in Michigan, it was MichiganWorks and a local chapter near my community foundation. The community foundation handles the application, selection of scholarship recipients, and initial payment. I reach out to my contact when I have student that I've flagged and we send the payment to MichiganWorks and they work directly with the student since they have more flexibility in this space.
We have had a lot of success with this so that we can support the student who is attending linemen school at a university and linemen school at a for-profit company. We've also been able to use this partnership to help students in their next career training move - for example, maybe they needs tools or equipment. MichiganWorks has been able to facilitate that process on our behalf. Apprenticeships has been trickier, I've really only had luck in the tools/equipment space in these cases.
I hope this helps! Feel free to reach out if you have questions.

Re: Regional Trainings 2025
Hello @JessicaDirks, we plan to open registration for the Milwaukee Regional Training next week and registration for Nashville will open in September. I hope that helps. We'd love to see you at either one of these.
Re: Regional Trainings 2025
Any info on registrations for the 2 fall regional trainings? We would love to look at registration before the end of our fiscal year.
Re: Is your Foundation using a Letter of Intent to screen grant applicants? If yes, how?
Can anyone share some of the questions they use in the LOI process? We have been using it as a pre-application, but are finding we need to beef up our questions for the the LOI to actually be helpful. Thank you!
Hello All!
Hello everyone, my name is Brock Ullman, and I am one of the new Client Support Interns here at Foundant Technologies. I became interested in working for Foundant after my brother had previously worked here and raved about how much he liked it. I am originally from Carol Stream, Illinois, and am currently pursuing my degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder. I currently reside in Boulder and enjoy hiking, skiing, and motorsports. I am ecstatic to start my journey with Foundant Technologies and am excited to work with you all!
Re: Separate, non Follow-Up form to Collect Thank You Notes from Students
Michelle this is a great (and timely) discussion. We've been having lots of Thank You note conversations with clients. Our team presented a webinar on Merge Templates and some options for exporting Thank You information. You can view that recorded webinar here https://hub.foundant.com/glm-client-webinars/scholarships-follow-up-merge-template-workflows
I recognize this doesn't solve the issue, but does present the options currently available in SLM/UA.
Hi, I'm New Here!
Hello everyone! I am Kristen Neithercut, a new Client Support Intern here at Foundant. I became interested in working at Foundant when I decided to pivot my career away from hospitality/Food & Beverage towards a career that is still client-focused but not necessarily nights/weekends/holidays. As someone with a history in the nonprofit sector, Foundant was at the top of my list as a local business doing great work in an industry I'm familiar with. I am Bozeman-based but originally from Northern Michigan. In my free time I enjoy working on my nonprofit, The Female Climbers Collective, that teaches women and nondominant gender identities how to rock climb through a 3 day climbing festival here in Montana. I'm excited to be here and looking forward to working with you all!
