Does anyone have a good resource for evaluation questions for a first pass evaluation? Looking to simplify process with a few simple questions that allow us to rank recommendations before taking a deeper dive in the review process through the 2nd evaluation.

Can you clarify what you mean by first pass evaluation? Do you mean screening applicants? Happy to try to help, but would like to know some more information. One idea is to ask applicants to self-report if they meet eligibility guidelines as a first pass.
No sorry, I wasn't clear! Once an application is submitted & marked complete and then is being sent to the evaluators, we want to use the first evaluation for the evaluators to do an initial reaction to the application. This is primarily to set us up for the first meeting, so we can be more efficient and start the meeting kinda knowing where the group stands on a particular application. In other words. we want the evaluators to give their "gut" reaction to the grant application, in an effort to jumpstart our discussion.

Got it. Good idea. Maybe try something open ended and very simple like a comment box "Please share one or two sentences to describe your initial reactions to this application."
