Annual Reports vs. Community Reports

We're on a calendar year and typically do not have our audit completed until August. Therefore, our Annual Report isn't published until September, but we would like to move the publication to earlier in the year.

Is anyone transitioning to publishing a Community Report (instead of calling it an annual report) and not including the audited financials as part of the publication?

Your thoughts, recommendations are appreciated.

Thank you,

  • I like the idea of a Community Report, @ReneeCouser. Let's see what others think!

@ReneeCouser We have not done that, but I love the idea! The most interesting and popular part of our annual report is always the stories, anyway. I've lobbied for years to exclude the detailed audit information from our annual report and focus more on impact, but so far haven't been successful.
