Streamlining Scholarship Acceptance Process Share Your Insight

Hello!

I am curious to learn about other foundation’s scholarship acceptance workflow to see if there’s a way to simplify my foundation’s scholarship acceptance workflow. Currently, they have a two-step process. First, the student signs a scholarship agreement, which confirms they are still attending college. I use follow-up forms for that step. Once I receive that back, then I issue the student a University agreement that their school has to sign and return to the Foundation. For that step, I use merge templates to create the letters. But this overall workflow involves a lot of tracking and manual reminders, especially since students often submit things late. I am curious to know if it’s possible to combine both steps into one more streamlined workflow. Could anyone share insight into their own process?

We only have the students sign an acceptance follow-up form. Does your Foundation' s policy require a university agreement, as well? Could you skip that step? Our only contact with the universities is when we send the scholarship funds along with a letter outlining how the funds should be applied. They do not sign any agreements with us.

@LaurieAbildso Our policy states that the University has to agree to our terms in writing. Thank you for sharing your workflow. I look forward to seeing how others approach this workflow too.
