Language around engaging in political activity in grant acceptance forms?
Hi everyone,
Do your grantees have to sign grant acceptance forms to receive their grants? We started including language directly in the award letter for DAF, Agency, and Designated Funds, but we use electronic grant acceptance forms for discretionary funds through GLM.
We thought it might be prudent to add to the form that the grant can't be used to support political activity.
I'm curious what others include in their grant acceptance forms (if you use them) and if anyone has specific language around engaging in political activity.
Thanks in advance!

Below is the language we use but we don't have it in the grant agreement, we use it at the eligibility stage.
Religious or Political Causes A:*
I confirm that this request will NOT support PARTISAN politics as a part of programming and/or client engagement (mandatory or optional).
This includes but is not limited to:
i. promotion or endorsement of a candidate(s);
ii. direct support for a campaign;
iii. marketing materials or advertising for a candidate/campaign; or
iv. direct funding and/or interaction with a political action committee.
Religious or Political Causes B:*
I confirm that this request will NOT support the efforts of religious proselytizing:
i. As a required component of programming; and/or
ii. As a requirement to receive services.
This includes but is not limited to:
i. the creation of liturgical materials or other collateral;
ii. donations to or support of a religious organization/group; and/or
iii. support of an individual in any capacity.
