Hello,
I am the Member Engagement Manager with the Minneapolis Council on Foundations (MCF). I'm writing from Minneapolis where we have been greatly impacted by the death of George Floyd in our community. Yesterday we held an advisory meeting for our Minnesota Disaster Recovery Fund (MDRF) for Coronavirus where we intended to give out $1.5M. In light of the additional pain in our community, we doubled our distribution amount to $3.1M to help our BIPOC community that has been heavily impacted by the fires and looting. I welcome you to visit our website on the statements our partners have released on the death of George Floyd and also information on the MDRF and the funding that has been done around Minnesota. The philanthropic community is on the front lines of what is going on and I'm wishing you good health and safety amidst the pain and anger some of you may be experiencing. ~Kristen Cullen
