Scholarship Application Abandon Rate?

Hi everyone,

Do you look at your scholarship application abandon rate? We are looking at historical data on how many scholarship applications are started but not completed. I'm wondering if others have done this and what percentage of students do not finish their applications?

Is there any average or national data on this? It would be good to know if we are in line or if we need to make some major changes to address this.

Thank you in advance!

Dara

This is my first year at Central Carolina Community Foundation but we had about 450 submitted applications and an additional 700 or so left as a draft. These are applications not students, as some students had multiple apps started in the UA. I believe this is pretty typical for us.

We had 382 submitted this year and 329 abandoned. Likewise, these are applications, not students, with multiple UA opportunities.
