Supporting Equitable Approaches to Youth Mental Health & Funders’ Collaborative for Young Minds

Today’s youth are facing unprecedented challenges to their mental health. Youth of color are particularly impacted, as they bear the disproportionate burden of racism, trauma, and inequalities in our health and education systems. Philanthropy has a tremendous opportunity to act now so that all children can thrive.

Mindful Philanthropy recently launched Thriving in Schools, a series of events and resources designed to help funders better support youth mental health. A key focus area of this initiative is youth of color and the special challenges they face in individual and community well-being.

We want to hear from the Foundant community!

  1. What lessons have you learned from supporting youth of color in your work?
  2. How does mental health intersect with your work?
  3. What considerations would you like to share with other funders, and what would you like to learn more about?
