What techniques have you used to sound more assertive when doing cold calls with prospects?

Hello,
I recently had great training regarding fundraising prospecting and cold calling. My background is programs and customer service and my feedback was that I sounded like a recording and I could be more commanding. I was giving energy that said "you can get rid of me."
It was a great lesson because I realize I need a different mode and voice. What are your recommendations to be more assertive and "close" the deal?

Have you considered using the help of AI to develop a script for you that is more commanding?
For instance you can type in what you need to say into chat GPT or a similar tool and ask it to write you something that is more strongly worded ?
The other tip I have is to practice on friends, family and co-workers!
