Paper shortage

For those nonprofits using direct mail pieces in their campaigns this year, I was talking with one of our local printers and they conveyed that the unprecedented paper shortages - both coated and uncoated standard papers - will continue for the foreseeable future. I bring this up because many print providers are working on solutions for their clients, but planning ahead and allowing MORE time for appeals to be printed will be an important part of a successful campaign. Get with your print and direct mail provider early this year and get the ball rolling. You'll be happy you did when you meet your deadlines with less stress.
