Sample Group

“Groups” are a great feature in Compass that allow members to create an area outside of the standard categorized discussions for collaboration around a specific topic or event.  Any Compass member can create a group!

Funders may use Groups for:  

  • Boards & Committees 
  • Collaborating with other community foundations in your region (or of similar asset/employee size) 
  • Sharing documents, processes and workflow examples with others 
  • Providing onboarding resources for new employees, board members, etc. 
  • Strategic planning, exchanging ideas and goal-setting

Nonprofits may use Groups for:

  • Boards, Committees and Volunteers
  • Grant writing application collaboration among team members
  • Volunteers planning a particular event (5k fundraiser, bake sale, pet adoption event, etc.)
  • Groups residing in a specific geographic region coordinating on lobbying around a new law or policy
  • Employees collaborating on ideas/goals for the mission of the nonprofit organization

...and the list goes on!
