  • Hi @PennyHalstead, We started making multi-year grants in 2021. Currently, we only do them for a maximum 2-year stretch, so all of our grants are either one-time or 2-yr. I assign a Final Report follow up form for all one-time grants (due 13 months after we send the grant funds) when processing them, and an Interim Report…
  • @AnnMarieMahoney The Jacob and Terese Hershey Foundation provides $50,000 for each Board member to designate per year, $25,000 for each outside committee member per year. Designations must fall within the Foundation's mission. For reference, JTHF is a hybrid family/independent foundation, with assets ~$100M.
  • @CherylLindstrom when we decided to stop mailing checks to grantees, we looked into ACH and decided against it, as that information can be misused if accessed by malicious actors. I don't believe Foundant's data security is designed to the level required for financial information - you might want to discuss it with your…

I don't know quite how these work (yet!), but I believe the capability could be used to export installments, including bill.com PNIs, to Quickbooks, then import payments back into GLM. Thank you @KaraAdams - I'll have to check…
  • To my knowledge, no, Foundant doesn't integrate with bill.com, nor QuickBooks (which is where we originate the transactions that then feed into bill.com). It would be awesome if it did. If it does and I'm simply unaware, I sure hope someone lets me know!
  • We opted to use bill.com for our grant payments. This relieves us entirely of being responsible for the appropriate handling of sensitive account information - bill.com acts as the intermediary. Grantees can sign up for a free bill.com account if it is used only for receiving payments. We have a follow up form in GLM that…
  • We opted to make our grant payments via bill.com. It allows for approvals on amounts to pay, so is a good internal control, and is free for the grantees so long as they set their account up for receipts only. We collect the grantee's bill.com information in a follow up form we assign to the applicant when the grant is…
