Budget Software/Tools/Apps
Our Foundation operates on a calendar year, but we are heavily funded by other foundations so many of our funds have budgets that span over several years. We find that the budgeting tool in CSuite will not meet our needs. We wondered if any other Foundations are using another software/tool or app to supplement their budgeting needs?

Hello Denise! I asked around on this too. The most common response I heard was Excel, though Martus Solutions, Eula (formerly Questica), and Solver were mentioned as options, though as far as I know they were not actually in-use by the folks that suggested them.
I checked the Idea Lab and do not see multi-year budgeting as a suggestion, at least yet, but there was new functionality added at the end of December that might help.

- Financials: Added YTD Budget with Prior Year actual to Edit Options on the Income Statement. This report will show the date range of the report in the actual column, budget for the date range, YTD Actual, YTD, Budget, YTD difference, Year Actual, Difference, and Prior Year Actual.
