Scholarship Renewals during COVID - GPA criteria when there is a pass/not pass system

We have two full-ride scholarships that are renewable. Each semester the students submit their latest transcript to show their grades and cumulative GPA meets the renewal criteria.

Due to COVID, some colleges and universities have used (or have an option for the student to select) a pass/not pass (or a satisfactory/unsatisfactory grade) system for the semester instead of issuing letter grades with GPA points associated. This system does not effect the cumulative GPA at all.

I had a student ask if selecting this non-grade system, how it would the GPA requirement for the scholarship. We hadn't considered this question yet.

Has anyone else experienced this change due to COVID that could affect GPA-based renewal criteria?
