Thanks to everyone's engagement today during our Coffee Talk: Grantmaking Revelations from the COVID-19 Pandemic. We appreciate the excellent questions and suggestions, as well as the discussion around ongoing lessons from the experience of vulnerable communities - both relative to COVID and to the impact of racism in our communities.

Please share your lessons, questions, and experiences here.

As schools continue their discussions on how best to get kids back into the classrooms amid COVID-19, multiple options are being posed to parents to decide how best to educate kids. Our local school board is posing three options: 1. in person learning 2. e-learning 3. virtual school. Some parents may not have a choice if they don't have access to wifi or laptops/tablets for the e-learning or virtual school but hesitate to send kids to school. Several of our local nonprofits are brainstorming about creating e-learning hubs to provide tools needed for learning along with tutors (and teachers online) and having fewer kids in rooms to social distance. Is anyone working with nonprofits that are doing this already or any foundations funding this as schools begin to open back up that might share their models for others considering? Thank you!
