After my husband finished his dissertation, we had a party where he burned the (thrift store) wooden chair he'd sat in the entire time he was writing. So, if you want to skip the good office chair, you can at least look forward to a celebratory outdoor (works in pandemic) bonfire for the chair you may be using to work from home.
