Family Foundation - Unrestricted DAF

Hi,

Our foundation is looking to expand our fund offerings to include a Family Foundation (essentially a Unrestricted DAF). The option has been requested by two different families who wish to establish a fund over $1 million and grant out based on a grant and/or RFP cycle. The fund would have high influx of the principal balance at large intervals.

Does anyone have experience with a fund like this? If so, how do you charge fees to the fund. Our current fee structure is quarterly based on ADB. Another CF in our state charges a flat fee for administering the fund due to the high volume of support.

Any feedback you have would be much appreciated for my research.
