Sample Group
“Groups” are a great feature in Compass that allow members to create an area outside of the standard categorized discussions for collaboration around a specific topic or event. Any Compass member can create a group!
Funders may use Groups for:
- Boards & Committees
- Collaborating with other community foundations in your region (or of similar asset/employee size)
- Sharing documents, processes and workflow examples with others
- Providing onboarding resources for new employees, board members, etc.
- Strategic planning, exchanging ideas and goal-setting
Nonprofits may use Groups for:
- Boards, Committees and Volunteers
- Grant writing application collaboration among team members
- Volunteers planning a particular event (5k fundraiser, bake sale, pet adoption event, etc.)
- Groups residing in a specific geographic region coordinating on lobbying around a new law or policy
- Employees collaborating on ideas/goals for the mission of the nonprofit organization
...and the list goes on!
