8 Quick Tips to Maximize your Compass Experience

Here are 8 Quick Tips for maximizing your experience in our community:

STEP 1: Review Our Community Rules

It's an easy read!

STEP 2: Update Your Profile

Click on the round Account Options icon on the upper right of your screen and select "Edit Profile".

  • Upload a picture so we can put a face to your name!
  • Update the job title, location, and About Me fields so we can get to know you.

STEP 3: Post an Introduction

Say "Hi" and tell us a little about yourself by posting an Introduction here!

STEP 4: Post a Discussion, Ask a Question or Create a Poll

Return to your Compass homepage to explore the groups within each category and recent discussions. You can also view all recent discussions by clicking Discussions at the top of the page.

Just click the blue "New Discussion" dropdown on any page to start a discussion, ask a question, or create a poll. Remember to select the appropriate category for your topic!

STEP 5: Follow Categories

Click the bell icon on the top of a category page to customize the type of notifications you'd like to receive from that specific category. Read how in this post.

STEP 6: Request and Earn Badges

Add a little personality to your profile. Click on individual badges to request them. Badges also equal points and will help you climb the Compass leaderboard!

STEP 7: We're All Friends Here

Include other community members in discussions and questions by including an @ before their name. (Ex. @Phil) Send a direct message to someone by visiting their profile. Encourage others by liking their posts, promoting their posts, or marking a response as awesome!

STEP 8: Make it Mobile

Visit community.foundant.com on your phone or tablet and save Compass to your home screen for easy access to conversations on-the-go!
