2022 Fund Development Planning-- opportunities? challenges?
As you prepare for 2022, what fundraising opportunities and challenges are on your mind?
What process helps you create a solid annual plan for the year?
Re: Indiana
Attached is the fund statement template with letter and glossary that we used for the second of our annual statements in August. We use statement accounts for our reporting, which is why 'Error! Missing test condition' appears for those lines in the statement itself.
Re: Video Applications
Kudos @KatieDesBois on making this leap! Unfortunately, we're not that advanced yet, so I can't help with any best practices 😕
Video Applications
Hi Everyone!
Our organization will soon begin accepting Video Applications from our applicants (they will have a choice to submit applications online, as a hard copy, video, etc). I was hoping to see if anyone could share any tips or best practices around accepting, tracking, and managing these applications. For instance, do you have requirements around video length, file size or format when submitting? How do you provide technical support to applicants? Do you have internal processes set up to store and manage these applications during the review phase?
I welcome any and all tips and advice! Thank you
Katie
Re: Requests for calls
Thank you @elliemoore for the idea of designated days and timeslots each month. I think that's a great idea and easily doable. I also like stating on our website that the nonprofit should review previous funded programs and eligibility requirements before reaching out to ensure there is alignment. I don't have that stated but our RFP's and previously funded organizations/projects are listed. A simple statement could potentially eliminate some of those calls. Thank you for your thoughts and advice.
